Wherever possible, Jane likes to meet her clients. Occasionally this may not be possible and she may rely entirely on photographic reference material.
When producing an original portrait, the subject usually has three sittings and Jane will use numerous photographs to back up these sessions. The sitter may travel to Jane's studio in Cumbrian countryside, or Jane is happy travel throughout the UK to paint from life. Jane likes to deliver her paintings in person and feels that this is an important rounding of the experience both for herself and her client.
The time span for producing a work of art is approximately 4-8 weeks, depending on it's complexity.
